Terrarium Workshops
Build a living world under glass.
A terrarium workshop at INSIDE in Port Angeles is a guided two-hour afternoon. You choose your glass, build your own little ecosystem with Jennifer, and take home a small living thing that stays beautiful for years. Good company at the table, hands in the dirt.

What to Expect
Part class, part dinner party.
You arrive, pour a drink, and find your seat. There are snacks, there's conversation, and there's a table of people who came to make something with their hands.
Jennifer starts with the good part: what a terrarium actually is, the little ecosystem under the glass, and what every piece in your kit does and why. Then you build. No experience needed, and nothing to bring. We keep it small, up to ten seats, so it feels less like a class and more like a table of friends.

The Terrarium Workshop
Three levels, one afternoon under glass.
Choose from three levels: First Bloom at $95, Green Thumb at $195, or Full Bloom at $285. Every seat covers the whole afternoon, Jennifer's guidance, and a finished terrarium to take home. Only 10 seats, and vessels come in limited quantities, including special finds Jennifer curates, chosen the day of — once they're picked, they're gone.
Green Thumb adds a second plant and a stone or glass figure, and you walk out with 20% off your next in-store purchase. Full Bloom is the one everyone stops to ask about: three collector plants, a built-in light or display stand, and semi-precious gemstones, plus 30% off your next in-store purchase, the richest reward on the table.
Every level is your base, not a ceiling — add extra plants, stones, gemstones or other finishing touches à la carte at the bench, so it's exactly as simple or as elaborate as you want.

From People Who Came
They still talk about it.
Jennifer created an atmosphere that felt welcoming, relaxed, and full of joy. She made the process easy to understand while still giving us plenty of freedom to be creative and build something that felt completely our own.
You can be as creative as you want. The vessels were beautiful.
I would do it again in a heartbeat!
Having the chance to build a special little world is priceless.
What You'll Make
No two leave alike.
Same table, a different little world every time. Some guests keep it simple and some go all the way to Full Bloom. Here's what people have built.

Private & Group
Book the room for your people.
Birthdays, team nights, a different kind of get-together. Gather your group and we'll run a workshop just for you. Private workshops happen when the shop is closed, so you have the whole space to yourselves.
Tell us what you're planning and we'll build the afternoon around it.
Questions
The things people ask before they book.
What if I'm not creative?
Most people at the table say the same thing when they sit down. There's nothing to draw and nothing to get right. Jennifer shows you what each layer does and why, you choose the pieces you like, and it works because the plants do the interesting part. Nobody has ever left with one they didn't want to keep.
Will it die?
A terrarium is a closed system, so it's far more forgiving than a houseplant. You'll leave knowing how much light it wants and how rarely to water it, and you'll have it written down. Guests tell us months later that theirs is still growing. If yours ever looks unhappy, bring it in and we'll sort it out.
What's the difference between the three levels?
What goes into your terrarium. First Bloom ($95) includes one featured plant. Green Thumb ($195) adds a second plant and a stone or glass figure, plus 20% off your next in-store purchase. Full Bloom ($285) is our most-asked-about tier: three collector plants with a built-in light or stand and semi-precious gemstones, plus 30% off your next in-store purchase. Every level includes the guided build, soil, drainage, moss, stones, snacks and drinks — and vessels come in limited quantities, chosen the day of.
Is the price really all-in?
The level you pick is your base, and it's a complete terrarium on its own — nothing extra required. If you want to go bigger, the bench has à la carte extras: more plants, stones, gemstones, and other finishing touches, priced individually. You decide how far to take it.
Can I come on my own?
Plenty of people do. It's a long table of up to ten, so you'll be sitting with others either way, and it tends to sort itself out within about ten minutes.
Can I book the whole table for my group?
Yes. Private workshops happen when the shop is closed, so you have the whole space to yourselves. Birthdays, team nights, or any excuse to get people around a table. Get in touch and we'll build the afternoon around what you're planning.
